I made a new website for myself. It'll be a place where I'll be hosting most of my original fiction. I'm debating on whether or not I should add a fanfiction seciton or not, but for now, it's the main page for my original fiction.

For those of you who like my style of writing or maybe just want to see what I'm capable of outside of fandom writing, you're more then welcome to check it out.

Granted, it's still a pretty new place so some tweaking and whatnot will probably be necessary. I take comments, suggestions, etc. to heart so if you have any, drop me a line and be constructive. There's even a "blog" type of page where I talk about my updates and let people know what I'm doing with my writing or the site or just as a person.

So please, stop on by. Take a look around!

Thanks a lot!

"Spilt Milk" by Second Person

I couldn't find these lyrics anywhere, and I do enjoy this song quite a bit, so I thought I'd share. If I killed your FL, sorry.

I wrote these down whilst listening to it. I probably got a few words wrong, which wouldn't surprise me since she sings in a rather unique manner. If anyone can catch what she's saying and thinks I'm wrong on some of the phrases, you're welcome to correct me.

darling it's deplorable
we're still acting this adorable
with all this ugliness inside

it's just unattainable
that I'm always so available
and I'm always so un___able
to your blending black and white
I tell you truthfully
this ambiguity
is just no use to me
because it makes me curl up
in a fetal ball
like an unprotected animal
with an ineffective out to all
in an unsympathetic world
I know you'd never be unkind
with all your thoughts for me
now while you're making up your mind
it touches me

but there's no use crying
there's no use crying
there's no use crying
there's no use crying

well it's practically an actual catastrophe
and I reckon it just has to be
because of its fundamental flaws
I know you'd happily
gather me up and carry me
but you don't have the capacity
and I am not a charitable cause
and I feel that I have lost it all
I feel like I am in a hospital
and you know that it's just impossible
for you to see me now
because togetherness
is a begin to hopelessness
we are standing on a precipice
and it is such a long way down

would you know we would have to walk away

while we're still making sense
this is just the price we pay
for accidents

and there's no use crying
there's no use crying
there's no use crying
oh, there's no use crying

(fall on your knees
here the angel always is)
(fall on our knees
here the angel always is)

there's no use crying
there's no use crying
and there's no use dying
cause there's still more
laughing to be done

Star Trek; 2009 Movie

I watched Star Trek today with my family and I have to say it was a pretty awesome movie. To those who don't know the history behind the television series, maybe you were too young or you just didn't get into it, as a movie on its own, it's still fun to watch.

I myself was too young to follow the original generation / season of ST, so I don't quite have the same level of appreciation as say my mother or brother has for the movie. My sister, who grew up more on the second season---New Generation---of ST still has a better appreciation for the movie than I do.

Still, as a movie lover, if found great joy in watching ST.

I think the trailer that is out for the movie doesn't really do it justice. There are certain elements displayed in the trailer that isn't quite so focused on throughout the movie. And there are themes that aren't quite hit upon in the trailer that are noticed in the movie itself.

Also, the side comedy throughout the movie was humoring. Since the ST series was, in a sense, corny without really trying to be, that same sort of muttered, sarcastic humor or jokes was played in this year's movie.

And believe it or not, the actors looked like plausible young versions of their older selves. You even get to see the original Spock play a part! I won't say how in case anyone hasn't seen it yet and doesn't want to be spoiled. Even Chris Pine looks like he could be a younger version of Jim (as according to William Shatner's image). Granted, Pine's image is a little rougher around the edges, but if you imagine that with age he'd smooth out a bit, it's plausible he could be this person.

Over all, without really giving anything away, I enjoyed the movie and think that even if you're not a fan, as a movie by itself, it's worth watching. I won't say it's a five star, but it's worth spending some money over. It's also a good way to spend two hours of your day.

Eden of the East

I was trying to find something to watch while I ate dinner today and I came across this show on veoh.com that looked kinda interesting based on the title. I had no earthly clue what it was at first, but now I'm rather hooked.

It's called Eden of the East (aka: Higashi no Eden) and it's an action, mystery, romance anime. I'd like to add that there's humor in there as well, though it's not a major genre for the series.

On November 22, 2010 ten missiles strike Japan. However, this unprecedented terrorist act, later to be called as "Careless Monday," does not result in any apparent victims, and is soon forgotten by almost everyone. Then, 3 months later... Saki Morimi is a young woman currently in the United States of America on her graduation trip. But just when she is in front of the White House, Washington DC, she gets into trouble, and only the unexpected intervention of one of her fellow countrymen saves her. However, this man, who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa, is a complete mystery. He appears to have lost his memory. and he is stark naked, except for the gun he holds in one hand, and the mobile phone he's holding with the other hand. A phone that is charged with 8,200,000,000 yen in digital cash.

The first episode nearly made me snort noodles in just the first five minutes of the show. The "censorship" in the episode is funny because of how purposely "ghetto" it is. There's a shot where the main male character, Akira, is walking around naked and in order for it to be okay for children to see, they blur the area in front of his genitalia. While that itself doesn't sound funny, it's the technique they use in order to do it. It looks like a kid edited the picture using paint or some other basic image editing program.

I'm already a couple episodes in and I gotta say I'm enjoying it. There's a good balance of all three (four) genres that won't leave someone too overwhelmed by one or the other. Though there's romance, it's not so heavily stressed upon that it makes some of us who aren't into that sappy sort of drama feel like vomiting. And for some of us who don't want 24 minutes of skull bashing and blood flying with little to no plot development in between the scenes, there's no need to worry about being overloaded by that either. There's just enough mystery to make you wonder what's going on without feeling like you're drowning in a bunch of suspenseful nonsense that probably won't even correlate by the end of the series. Oh, and the humor? Well, that just fits in nicely too.

For me, I crack up at some of the subtle and dry jokes passed along throughout the episodes.

It's an ongoing series so I'm not quite sure how long it'll be. Rumor has it it's only a half season---i.e. it's less than 15 episodes. Since not all the episodes are out yet, I can't quite say if this show is really all that I'm making it out to be. But for what I've seen so far, it's a great pastime to sit down and enjoy. Even if it looks cute and that seems dissuading, there's actually more going on than you think.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?

Final Fantasy VII

Heh. I guess so. Cool. I like him.

Yaaaaay boredom. Actually, no, I'm not bored. But I wish I was, then I'd have an excuse to do more random stuff like this that has absolutely nothing to do with school or ruining my hands.

Whooo end of the term projects! (Not.)

No way!

I liiiive! Sorta. Actually, my internet is being a biatch and I'm lucky to even be able to post this retarded entry right not. Man, I haven't pooped an entry here in a while. Busy busy busy.

Well, on the upside, I finally got some writing done! But my hands now hurt like a motherf*cker. I'm currently working on two -- yes! count that! TWO! -- updates for TCO right now. They might not come out at the same time, but I'm hoping to get them in within the same month of each other. Maybe even sooner if I can risk it.

It'll be awesome, I think. I hope. I'm banking that it'll at least be acceptable and better than what I updated last time when I told everyone my CTS problem. (By the way, if you're one of those lurkers who reads my stuff and comes over here to snoop in my life, thanks. You're probably the same people who wished me luck with enduring the pain.)

I can't guarantee it'll be long like I sometimes do to make up for the long wait, but i think the double update will make up for it instead.

I'm hoping to get at least the first update in by the story's birthday. (Oh my gosh! It'll be five! Le gasp! Someone catch me while I faint in surprise!) I'm still astounded that it's that old. ....And still not finished. Originally, I didn't plan for it to drag on this long, but... well, y'know, crap happened again and again and I had to put aside my hobby for other things. Well, there's no taking all that back now, so I'll just roll with it. And when it's all finished, if I have the courage and ability to go spend more time with it, I might go back and tweak it more to my liking. Lord knows I don't proof read often enough. Everyone loves to point it out.

Gee thanks. --No, honestly, thanks. I'll probably hire all of you to beta my stuff. Haha. (We'll see.)

Anyway, yeah. I haven't touched any of my other stuff right now. No Bleach, TT, or whatever the hell else I was supposed to be working on. Just TCO. For now. I probably won't get to the other stuff until after this school year is done. Probably the summer. I'll need something to keep me occupied, one, and also to distract me from boring lecture classes, two. Yes, that's right, summer school. Ugh. I'm SO excited. Look at me bounce with utter and complete joy...... not.

But, eh, life is life and if I want to do what I want to do, I have to slug through this giant mess of academic poo in order to smell the roses and daisies and get a dang clean, hot, long shower on the other side. Hopefully, by then, I'll have all my current projects done. Heavens above can only tell what even less time I'll have to write after I graduate.

But we'll leave that for the future. Focus on today and now and the soon for the time being. Besides, I've been meaning to continue my original erotica story. I've been sticking with it for a while now, and have been eager to follow through with it, so on top of finishing my fanfiction, I want to get this one novella cranked out.

Yes, folks, I still have that crazy dream to publish my first book no matter how crappy it is. I'm still gonna do it. And I'm gonna look for beta readers too. And probably a cover artist too. Everything. Except an agent. This'll be a "out of my garage" sort of business because I suck like that. But, eh, whatever. Who cares how it's done. --Anyway, we'll leave that on the side too. One day I'll post up an excerpt when I have the time. And when I'm farther along. Not now. And probably not soon enough.

In the meantime, I'll just chill out and get those two TCO updates going. That should be good for now. (Yupyup.)

Leading a busy life...

...as usual. Not much going around on my end. Can't even write something decent without it being interrupted by school and whatnot. Le sigh.

In the meantime, I opened up my homepage and saw this in the headlines today.

Gee. I guess I won't be saving any lives in Colorado. Thanks, officer. Way to teach the public to do what's right. I hope I'm not saving your neck when you're in trouble.

Not amusing, they say?

But then why am I laughing so hard?

DN quiz thing

So I was messing around just a second ago and found this really random Death Note character match-up quiz. Feeling a little spontaneous, I clicked it, and here's what I got:

Apparently, I match up well with L. Imagine that.

For those feeling random like me and want to take the quiz, here's the original link:
